Welcome to Lion Dance At UCSD's Webpage!

Our club is based in San Diego County and formed at UCSD during Winter '08 by our co-founders Alex, Foster, and Stan.  Most of the current members have had previous experience in lion dancing, but that does not mean experience is required.  Although the club is currently relatively small, we're a non-profit organization with the goal of spreading the Asian culture through the art of Lion Dancing;  so if you're interested, join our mailing list in the form below, contact us or write on the wall of our Facebook Group!

News/Updates

11/04/09:  Welcome to a new school year! We're well overdue for an update but please bear with us.

We had a performance for CASA's GBM on 10/06/09 (almost a month ago!) The video is here.

On very exciting news, we bought a new lion head!

Our practice times are now on Sundays from 1-3pm at the Conrad Music Center (across from Pepper Canyon Hall and Gilman Parking Structure.)

Please wear comfortable clothes (no jeans) to practice.

See you guys there!

Practice Location

UPDATE:  Fall Quarter 2009 - Spring Quarter 2010  practice sessions will now be held on Sundays from 1pm until 3 pm at the open area of Conrad Music Center across from Gilman Parking Structure and also across from Pepper Canyon Hall.

NOTE:  If you don't see us at practice or are unsure if it will be held on a certain Saturday morning, contact Alex or Alvin.  We may have had a performance that day at that time, may have temporarily moved practice elsewhere, or may have canceled it.
